Krazy A to Z Challenge – “O”

OI have decided to participate in a blogging event called “Blogging From A to Z Challenge”. Each day for the month of April I will write a post corresponding to a letter of the alphabet. As you may have guessed, today’s letter is “O”.

Get over it.
How many times have I told myself exactly that?
Time to mourn.
Time to grieve.
Time to reflect.
Time to heal.
I don’t need those things.
I am strong.
I am tough.
I am unbreakable.
But imagine if I took the time…
I’d be invincible.

  1. Beautiful poem. Sometimes people do need to basically just buck up and get over it or at least that is what I think they need. We never know when people really need a little bit more time.. .and when we need to be the friend who helps them progress through their situation. All the best in the rest of the AtoZ challenge

  2. Sometimes it is hard to get over certain thoughts. I know we are supposed to just forget about something and move on, but sometimes I find myself mulling over things over people just shrug off. I do not talk about it, but sometimes if someone says something particular hurtful about another person, I have a hard time getting over it. Sometimes things are passed off as banter and word play, and yes we should consider the source of the person who says such things, but there are times I find myself feeling less cordial to people who constantly make comments about the appearance and economic status of others. I have been told I am too serious, but I just find it is hard to get over when people do not treat others kindly. If it is a one time comment I can let it go, but if I see a subtle pattern, from that time forward I am still polite to a person, but I do not engage with them more than I have to.
